Kamau Bilal Assistant Teaching Professor Office Location: 205 Academic Support Center Office Hours: By Appointment KAMAU BILAL is a film editor and documentary cinematographer. With an affinity for simple/restrained stories, he graduated from Webster University in 2006 with a BA in Video Production. His credits include: A Stray (SXSW 2016), editor Crown Candy (2016), co-director and editor with David Wilson What Kind of Man (Maryland 2014), director, cinematographer and editor Awful Nice (SXSW 2013), editor Stories Women Tell (HBO documentary dir. Tracy Tragos), director of photography Kamau Bilal currently teaches Principles of Cinematography and Introduction to Post-Production.




From academic study to production principles, the Film Studies program provides guidance to our students from accomplished research faculty, real world experience through hands-on internship practicums, and opportunities for success beyond the program for our graduates.
