Shawn Lawrence Otto
The "Engineering Connections between Politics and Science for the 21st Century Symposium" will be sponsoring Shawn Lawrence Otto's writing Q&A on Tuesday, March 13 at 7pm in Stotler Lounge, Memorial Union. Shawn is the Writer and coproducer of the Oscar-nominated film House of Sand and Fog, he recently sold a TV pilot to Starz, and is directing his films Dreams of a Dying Heart and Sins of Our Fathers.

In addition to his books and movies, Otto's work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Science, Issues in Science and Technology, Salon, Huffington Post, Minnpost, New Scientist, Scientific American, Nature Medicine, and others, and he writes a blog, Neorenaissance, on the antiscience beat and the intersection of knowledge, politics, art, and culture.
