Film Contests

As the Film Studies Program grows, we will be seeking an increased involvement within the community which will benefit both the local filmmakers and the Film Studies Program. More information will be posted here soon as it becomes available!

Kansas City FilmFest-call for entries
Presented by the Kansas City Filmmakers Jubilee, the Kansas City FilmFest is currently accepting entries for the Filmfest in April. Films can range from animation, experimental, drama, comedy,or documentay. Films must have been completed since January 1, 2008 and can either be feature or short length. The deadlines are October 1 or November 15 or December 1. Entry fees are charged and are based on length and submission date. For more information please view the website.

Reynolda Film Festival- Film Contest
The Reynolda Film Festival- Film Contest was started in 2007 at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The contest is for students and accepts films from all over the world. Deadlines are for December 30 and January 30. For more information please see the Film Festival website as well as the Film submission website.
