Film Studies majors must complete 30 credits in film studies, with a grade of C- or above in every course. At least 15 hours in the major must be in courses at the 3000 level or above. Students must also complete College of Arts and Sciences and University requirements, including University general education requirements. No more than 40 credits in Film Studies may be counted toward graduation.



To earn a minor in film studies, students must earn 15 credits in film studies. Required courses include 1800, and either 2830 or 2840. At least two courses must be at the 3000 level or above. The minor is a flexible and varied program that can be tailored to individual students’ needs. Students wishing to minor in film studies should consult the film studies adviser, Jen Schaffer.
